PHS Welcomes Volunteers !
There are numerous ways to get involved with our programs, spend time at the museum, and learn/share local history.
Volunteer time at PHS fulfills community service requirements.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know how you can help.
TOUR GUIDES / DOCENTS
PHS will provide training and scripts to assist you in becoming a great tour guide.
Anyone can learn! And you'll be amazed how quickly your own knowledge will
grow as you share the information with visitors.
(See "Junior Docent" page for teen opportunities)
Are you a book worm? Do you enjoy archival research, or want experience in
genealogy? PHS often received requests from outside the area for family
information available in our library. You can help with these small projects.
Each year, PHS installs a special exhibit in our gallery. These require research,
logistical planning, and installation. If you are interested in getting to know this
process, or have a talent you would like to share, contact us this fall / winter
when we will again be in the midst of planning our exhibition.
PHS is in the process of a collections inventory and refreshing of our standing
exhibits. If you are are interested in really getting to know our collections, and
curatorial experience, this is a unique opportunity.
Set-ups and break-downs, refreshments and nametags, sign-ins and greetings -
if you prefer to assist in this way, we have several events each year that could
use your help. Open house events at the Jail and Hale House, Perryville Day
Auto Show, lectures and slide shows, Annual Meeting, just to name a few...
*PERRYVILLE DAY ANTIQUE AUTO SHOW - SUNDAY, JULY 7, 2013*
PHS is recruiting new team members for this 2013 event.
